Starting The New Year Off Right!

I wanted to post this last night, because everything was done but the picture taking, but I was really tired by 10pm, so I opted for bed instead.

I've got my first started object and my first FO of the year (and they are both the same project!). Talk about starting the new year off right.

I present to you, the No(ro) More Shinano(gins) Wrist Warmers.

Oddly enough, when this yarn barely touches your skin it's a little itchy, but in wrist warmer form, its not itchy at all. Besides, they're nice and warm and very fashionable.

They need a pretty good block though, because they're a bit tight. I don't want them falling down though, so they have to stay a bit tight.

Wrist Warmer #1 and #2 don't really look alike though. I guess that's what you get when you use one ball of Noro for a pair of something.

I think that one of the most impressive things about this project is that I only used one ball of Noro Shinano, and I still have a fair amount left. I was being cautious, and not making the warmers too long, because I didn't want to run out of yarn. I think I have enough left for an iPod cover or two. It's too bad I didn't buy more of this yarn, because it's really pretty, and I might have done some leg warmers out of it. I have some Silk Garden that I'm going to use for leg warmers though, so no worries.
