I Know, I Suck...

It seems like forever since I last posted. For the most part, I just haven't felt like it. When I do feel like blogging, I always seem to be to tired to do my subject justice. I've still been reading lots of blogs though.

Also, I always want to post pictures, and I just haven't taken very many lately.

Here are the last few weeks in a nutshell--

*I've almost finished my bolero jacket from Debbie Bliss's book, Simply Soft. I only have a few more ends to sew in before I block it. I'm hoping I like it more after the magic of blocking, because I really didn't like it when I tried it on.

*Work continues to go well. I've logged 30 minutes of overtime in the last 15 days. Yeah, I know, impressive isn't it?

*I've been cooking more lately. I made Fettuccine Alfredo on Sunday, and we had steak in a mushroom Dijon cream sauce tonight. The steak was really expensive, but I'm a red meat lover, and I think it was worth it.

*Saturday was Stu's 28th Birthday, and we had a nice dinner with his family, then went to a lecture on "Environmental Sustainability". (I knit through the whole thing, so it didn't seem that bad. Those who weren't knitting didn't have as good of time.)

*We got kicked out of the tennis club dining room on Friday for wearing jeans. For God's sake, it was a Friday, and as you know, I spend my Fridays in a casual way. We ended up going for a drive and getting Mexican food for dinner instead.

*I've been trying to work on my Embossed leaves sock from Winter IK, but it's been slow going, and I haven't been motivated. I think I've knit 3 rows in the last 2 weeks.

*I picked up a Fleece Artist shrug kit from Urban Yarns on Sunday. I've knit about 2 inches on that.

*I'm still working on crosswords, but I haven't been doing as well lately.

*I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the Fall 2005 IK.

*I went and did a bit of clothes shopping last night after work. I've gone from a size 12 (November-ish), to a size 6. Yay shrinking!! I was a size 8 a month ago.

There, hows that for a ramble! I hope to post something with some more substance soon. Oh, and I've been drooling over Dani's new editions at Sunshine Yarns.

You so do not suck!!! Just still adjusting to your new work life - I get it. Yummy, your cooking ventures sound wonderful. I'm drooling over the new sock yarns too - but trying to stay strong. Maybe I'll hint to the hubby that I'd love to find a skein in my Easter basket. ;)

First congrats on your weight loss, I know, personally, how exciting it can be!

Don't worry about your knitting slump, we all go through the same thing--it's totally normal!

We are all here for you, hang in there!
