Elapsed Time: A Jaywalker Story...

The pictures begin last night, and I think they really speak for themselves.

5:14pm (Right after I got home from work)

7:04pm - Stu and I had just returned from grabbing a coffee, and as you can see, I didn't get much knitting done.

9:01pm - This picture is from right before I went to bed.

8:05am - I realize that I have a good chance of finishing this morning. The end is in sight.

10:55am - We have a finished sock.

I don't know how, but the pattern almost matches up. I didn't put any effort into matching socks. This is just an added bonus.

I think we all know what this means --- I finally have a finished project this year. February 17th. First finished project.

Well done! I hope that many more socks flow from your needles this year.

Love them!!! They looks so comfy. And it's so great when the yarn decides to match on it's own. :)

They are lovely! What a nice thing for your first finish of the year (as indeed were my socks!) Re: the Opal yarn - I can't find a shop that stocks it near me, so I gave up and bought it on-line. I started with the Hunterwasser colourway because I wanted to knit something for me and the colours appealed. Because the pattern was so distinctive, it was really easy to wind on the yarn to a matching block. Don't know that it will ever be this easy with subtler designs, so I could get VERY frustrated next time!

Very pretty! Reminds me of Cotton Candy! Hoe fun that they matched by accident!
