Finished Shetland Shawl...

FYI --- Wet Sea Silk smells like low tide.

I finally got the shawl finished last night. You'd be surprised how long it takes to bind off 300+ stitches. In the end, I only did one extra pattern repeat. It was a fun knit, but I'm glad it's over.

Here it is pre-blocking ---

Taking a bath---

Pinned to the table---

Specs:

Yarn: Sea Silk by Handmaiden
Needles: 4mm Addi Turbo circ
Start: March 24, 2007
Finish: March 29, 2007

Non-shawl related ---

  • I've been browsing for alternate employment, but I'm not seeing anything I really like, so I'm probably going to stay with what I'm doing.
  • I bought Yarn Pirate sock yarn from the Loopy Ewe. 2 Malamute and 1 Rosie.
  • I am going to knit more lace, so I need some blocking wires.

Wow, it looks gorgeous!! You will do one more post when it's all dry and unpinned, right? I can't wait to see! LOL about the low tide part - yucky but funny all the same.
