There is a full on yarn purchasing ban at my house right now (even lace yarn). I'd like to spend more time knitting and less time yarn shopping!
I'm making progress on the Waving Lace socks, and I'm hoping to share a progress pic tonight.

Well, good for you. Sometimes limits can open our horizons. I took a writing course in college on structured poetry; at first the set parameters were hard to work with, but eventually it sparked creativity I didn't expect... I resolved to refrain from buying yarn for 8 months so I can attand Rhinebeck this coming October. I allowed myself sock and lace yarn, but so far I've only bought one skein of lace and two of socks, and all those were for gifts! I've been knitting like mad, though, and finding uses for the yarn in my stash that I hadn't thought of before! Good luck to you!
