Adventure!

Yesterday, the sock knitters from the Sea Socks Cruise descended from this cruise ship ---

I was very excited about this, because I was there to meet one of my very best blogging friends. I was there to meet Abigail from the 1870 Pearl blog. She lives down in Arizona, so I'm still counting my blessings that we were able to meet in person. Words cannot express how great it was to meet her.

They were supposed to be off the boat by about 10am, but there was a screw up with luggage, and they didn't set foot on land until a little after 11am. We then boarded the bus, and went for a tour around Stanley Park, before going to Granville Island for lunch.

Here we are having lunch at Granville Island---

And she came bearing gifts (isn't this the greatest little bag!). We both agree that this bag is very "me"---

And look at this!----

I am lucky enough to be the only knitter who was not on the Sea Socks Cruise who has this bag. I am also the only one who was not on the cruise to have the Mama-E's Cyber Fiber yarn that was custom dyed for those on the cruise. I love the colors! Also very me!

Abigail also very kindly re-stocked me with precious precious Milk Duds. Yummy....

And she brought me more yarn! And 2 awesome pattern books (pictures will be revealed as I figure out what I'm going to make. The yarn is a really nice color, and is 50% wool and 50% cotton.

My only regret is that Abigail and her mom were not able to stay longer. I told her that now she has to come back sometime.

It was so great to meet someone who I've known for almost two years.

Oh, it was so fun to meet up with you! I too wish we had more time together. Let me know when the Milk Duds run low:D

What pattern are you going to use for your exclusive ball of yarn? I'm still thinking about mine.

Did you notice that I tucked in the sock patterns that are also Sea Sock exclusive?

Nice! A bag and some yarn and you didn't even get to go on the cruise! Now that's awesome.
