One Finished Kamloops Wild Flower Sock!

Here it is!

I am seriously loving how this sock turned out. The strangest thing happened when I was putting it on after I finished it. I had the same feeling that I had when I first imagined knitting socks. It was a weird feeling in my chest.

This is the first time I've ever knit with "cheap" sock yarn. I really hope that doesn't offend anyone. I think I'll knit with cheap sock yarn more often, because it's unencumbering. It wasn't a big layout of money, so I'm free to experiment and just have a good time.

I did have a good time. I made a super long leg, followed by a plain stockinette heel flap.

The yarn label says it's even dryer proof! I can't wait to wash it! Now if only they could make a yarn that is husband proof! Har!

Don't you just love making socks? There's nothing like wearing homemade socks!

Your socks are lovely! (Cheap yarn, and all! haha!)

There is something freeing about using yarn that you don't worry too much about. And they look lovely.

Cheap or not, it certainly knitted up nicely .. no pooling or striping or other weirdness. Very nice!

Cheers to you for knitting with "cheap" sock yarn - I knit all my socks with that, actually I can't for the life of me imagine spending 20 bucks or more on a skein of sock yarn. And, as is very obvious with these beauties that you didmade, even cheaper yarn makes awesome socks! They look totally great, and I love the colors! Great job!

I used the same Regia yarn in the same color to make a pair of socks:

They are one of my favorite pairs of socks. They're perfect for days when it's too warm to wear heavy wool socks. They've worn & washed very well. I don't put them in the dryer, but I bet they'll be fine.

In my opinion, all sock yarn has it's perfect purpose. For example, there's nothing like the feel of Koigu socks on your feet, STR socks are very soft, etc.

Love your socks!

Your new socks are beautiful. Regia might be inexpensive, but it is of good quality and the colours are lovely. How much was left from the ball after that long leg?

I'm wondering if you give knitting lessons, I have wanted to learn for such a long time now but cannot find a teacher!! Any feedback you have would be greatly appreciated :)
